El día de la marmota

El día de la marmota (Groundhog Day) is such a funny tradition! It is only celebrated here in the U.S. but I thought it would be fun to talk about in Spanish!

la sombra = shadow

el invierno = winter

la primavera = spring

(We made little marmotas like this one in Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. We also predicted if he would see his shadow or not.)

El sábado, la marmota no vio (did not see) su sombra. Por eso, la primavera llegará temprano (will arrive early). ¡Qué alegría!

¿Qué te gusta más, el invierno o la primavera? What do you like more, the winter or the spring?

¿Cómo estás en el invierno?

¿Cómo estás en la primavera?
